Common questions

What is the weekly government tenders index?

A weekly summary of the tenders government entities in the Kingdom published and the awards they decided, computed for each Saudi week from Sunday to Saturday, Riyadh time. It shows tender and award counts, their split by sector and procedure, the median submission window, the median booklet price and award values — aggregate figures only, naming no entity, company or tender.

Where do these figures come from?

From tender and award notices published openly on Etimad and the other government portals Palmar follows. A tender published on more than one portal is counted once. The official source for any tender is the portal it was published on; these figures are what Palmar tracked from them, not an official statistic.

Why does the award count swing from week to week?

Two reasons. Award decisions do not arrive evenly, so they can bunch up in one week and thin out in the next. And some results are published days after the decision, so a week’s count can rise a little after it ends. That is why the trend is best read across several weeks, not one.

Can I see the tenders themselves?

This page shows aggregate figures only. The tenders themselves are published on Etimad and the other portals, and inside Palmar you see the open tenders that fit your company’s activity, with the reason for the fit, the closing date and a link to the original notice.
