What the platform does

Registration, in the right order
The common mistake is starting with the platform. Registration is the last step, not the first — because what decides your eligibility sits outside it:
- 1. Commercial registration. Check the listed activities. Eligibility is measured against what the registration says, not what your company actually does. A missing activity is a first-screen rejection you cannot fix later.
- 2. Nafathfor the owner or authorised representative. The representative’s identity must match what is on file; a mismatch is a recurring rejection cause.
- 3. Certificates: Zakat and income tax, GOSI, Saudisation, chamber of commerce. Each expires — make renewal an owned task, not something you discover on submission day.
- 4. Contractor classification where the activity requires it. It sets the value bands you may bid in, so bidding above your class is a guaranteed waste.
- 5. Register on the platform — at which point it becomes useful.
What Etimad does not do
The platform publishes faithfully and processes efficiently, but it does not rank competitions by how well they fit you. It does not know which activities you have actually delivered, your past performance, or your capacity this quarter. Matching is entirely yours.
That is where firms lose twice: relevant competitions pass unseen, and booklets get bought for competitions they were never going to win. The first is solved by watching every portal, not Etimad alone; the second by a written bid/no-bid decision applied before you buy.
